Mika is a spunky, smart girl, who often lets her emotions take over. Her best friend Ryoko was killed during a training mission, which she blames Hiroto for since he survived and she didn't. Hence learning that Hiroto is the Captain of the 'S Mission' she is angered and they share a very cold relationship.

Her rank on the Bilkis is Ensign. Selected as the lead Shaft driver by the one she hates most Hiroto, she proves herself to be worthy of the title 'Main Shaft Driver'. Another Shaft pilot, Sofia, also a friend helps Mika along the way. Mika's mother is a DNA researcher living on earth, with her dog, Bismarck. 'Bis' is also genetically enhanced intelligence with the ability to communicate. Mika and Bis keep in touch via e-mail. Mika faces one major problem. She is often looked down upon due to her gene type being 'White', not a colour. At an early age you tend to show your colour, but Mika never did, so she remained 'White'.
