First appearance episode 1: Black Blood Brothers. His face is not shown however. We hear him either enter a room or close the fridge door. A Television is on a channel that is English. He sits down in front of it, and opens a can of Coke. The reporter says: '...a scared war between human and..." gets cut off, as he half smiles, showing his left fang.

Next time he's seen is in episode 5: Special Zone. A woman knocks and enters into room, to give Zelman a report. It's very dark, until the candles light up.
Zelman: "I've been expecting you, Sayuka." She notices a girl on the floor. "Don't get upset. It was a toy given to me by Ogius." Sayuka begs him to be more careful, that the Company would find out. Zelman: "Don't worry. She's still alive." He moves her gently with his foot. Sayuka pleas with him, that if he's thirsty to call her. She's there for that purpose. Zelman becomes annoyed. "Aren't you here to give a report?" She tells him that the Company has left Gintou to the office of Compromise, Jinnai. Zelman asks for Sayuka to verify if Jinnai is also from Hong Kong, and he is. She also says that Jinnai was a comrade who fought alongside of Gintou. Zelman: "So he'll be siding with the Company then?"
Sayuka: "No." She tells him how Gintou showed up at the Marine Bank. Zelman: "Oh? To see Warlock?" but Cain refused to see him. Gintou is currently in Old Yard, and that he may be heading toward Sei. Zelman: "That's great! This has become quite interesting." She then informs him of Ogius and his group, and how their actions will reflect badly on him. Zelman: "Who cares. Just let them."
Sayuka: "But..."
Zelman: "It's annoying. Anyway, Gintou has someone with him, right?"
Sayuka: "Yes. Apparently it's his younger brother."
Zelman: "I see." He thinks: 'Then what about this person from our side? That Sei, still hasn't noticed that?
<flash to Yafuri> How useless.'
Sayuka: "Zelman-sama?"
He jumps and lands right in front of her. Zelman: "Good job on the report." He touches her of the face, and she blushes. Sayuka: "I-It was nothing..." Zelman smiles, and starts to walk out. "But the sun is still..." Zelman: "The VIP who's been silent for 10 years has come for a visit. We can't miss the live action, now can we?"

In episode 6: Kabun, he sends Sayuka out to retrieve Jirou and the others. She announces she's brought them, and leaves. Mimiko blushes upon seeing him. He tells her that he & her are different creatures, and asks if she's forgotten that. Mimiko gasps. Zelman: "Heh. It's written all over your face." Kotarou introduces himself, and Zelman says that he seems to be the only one who knows respect. He then comments on how strange Kotarou is, 'He's a different type of generation from the chaotic bloodline." He hints that he is aware of more then Jirou thinks, then tosses Jirou and the others a Coke. Jirou thinks this hospitality is distasteful coming from the Red-Eye Zelman. Zelman: "What are you still mad?" Jirou: "I'm not mad." He tells Jirou to look at his brother. He talks about the sage some more before Jirou asks him to drop the subject. Zelman suggests that they start over. Jirou removes his hat and bows. Jirou: "Its an honour to meet you, Zelman Clock, prince with eyes the colour of blood, one who inherits the ancient bloodline of the great warrior Asura (Azura). My name is Mochizuki Jirou, descendent of sage, Eve, the one known as the Gintou." Zelman apologizes for Ogius' earlier impoliteness. He asks Mimiko if Jirou is hand & hand with the Company. She's stunned, so he asks her if the Company wants to take Gintou in. Mimiko fails to answer. Zelman: "If you still haven't decided which side to ally yourself with, it'd be a good idea to stick with Company. That way you can maintain a neutral position with any bloodline." Jirou tells him not to joke, that there's no way the Company would take in troublesome people like them. Zelman listen's to Kotarou for a bit, before saying that he is interested in both he and his brother, and asks him if they would like to join. Kotarou thinks hard about it. "I'm glad, but aren't you a bad person, Zelman-san?" "Yes, but evil people aren't trash." "But I like righteous people better,' <Zelman smiles> '...because the evil always loses." "I see... That's too bad. However, if Company's "justice" gets to you, you're always welcome here." Zelman crushes the coke can with one hand and tosses it. Kotarou tells him not to wait, because they are righteous vampires. Zelman tells them they might be rivals the next time they meet, but he looks forward to their meeting.

In Episode 7: Gintou, Mimiko enters a room with all the top players in the Special Zone. Cain ask Zelman, if he had anything to say about Mimiko's apartment. Zelman: "Humph. It seems Gintou lost that idiot." Mimiko: "Yes. He went into the canal." Zelman: "He should've killed him. What a worthless idiot." <Smiling the whole time> Cain demands: "What's with that attitude?!" Zelman: "Be quiet. That guy isn't my subordinate. What do I care?" Cain is not impressed. Cain announces that they will not take in Jirou, so Zelman says: "That's fine. Then I'll take that guy." Cain asks if he knows what kind of consequences that will bring. Zelman: "I'm sorry. Even though I've lived longer then you, I can't predict the future." Cain grrr. Zhang: "It's unusual for someone who shuns the world, such as you, to take in a comrade..." Zelman: "Humph. I met him today and he was quite an interesting guy. And his brother is a piece of work. You should met him at least once, Pire-Killer Zhang. You were originally a vampire hunter, right? You should've heard the rumours." Mimiko: "Hunter?" Zhang: "Do not touch the blood of the sage. This is an unwritten rule in this world." Zelman: "You're clueless. I'm only interested in Gintou." Cain: "Oh. Why is the Red-Eye Zelman so concerned over that brat?" Zelman: "Your bond as comrades is strong, Cain-kun." Cain: "What are you trying to say?" Zelman: "Don't play dumb. You understand, don't you? Hong Kong's hero, bloodline of the sage. That doesn't matter to me. But it's different if he killed the ancestor." Sei: "Zelman Clock." <uses some kind of barrier power> "Watch what you say!" However it affects Mimiko too much, so he stops. Then Kotarou bursts in with news of Jirou heading off for revenge. Zelman laughs: "I'll take back my words. The brother is also a masterpiece." Mimiko's boss Jinnai sends her to try and stop jirou. Zelman whistles: ' It feels nice. Hey, Jinnai?" Jinnai: "What is it?" Zelman: "You ordered that girl to retrieve Gintou, right? Is it simply a coincidence, as that girl is not otherwise occupied?" Jinnai: "Well, I wonder... It could be because it's late at night and I haven't been getting enough sleep." Zelman: "Sly bastard." Zelman gets up to leave, but Jinnai announces that they are not done yet. He displays an image of Tsang, the Kowloon Child, who tired to get into the Zone, last night. They were conversing about the barrier, when Zelman said: "It's not about denying their entrance, it's about not letting them out. A Kowloon Child who comes into the Zone can only live there." Cain: "Zelman!" Zelman: "Humph." <cell rings> "What is it? No, not done yet. Hmm? What? What do you mean? Hey, wait. Calm down, Sayuka!" <concerned look> Cain: "Zelman." <Zelman has a pissed off look, and puts on the speaker> Sayuka: "The one who died when Ogius fed on him has comeback to life!" Zelman: "And?" Sayuka: "Janawei was raving mad after that person bit him, and the other 3 turned to ash after he bit them... What exactly was that? It can't be... but that's..." Zelman: "That's enough for today. Go home and rest." Sayuka: "Yes." Zelman: "Confirm one thing for me. You're certain Ogius sucked that person's blood, right?" Sayuka: "Yes, there's no question." Zelman: "All right. Get some rest."

In episode 9: Eleventh Yard, Kotarou is being targeted by 3 bigger kids, when Zelman asks if he wants some help and takes out the middle one. "What, you're alone? What happened to your brother?" Kotarou attempts to answer but his stomach replies. Zelman takes him to a resturant to get some noodles. He informs Kotarou that he is in his debt now. It seems Kotarou has filled him in on the Casa situtation, which pleases him greatly. Kotarou tells him that 'we' can't just do what we want. Zelman tells Kotarou not to be such a stiff. He then inquires about how he and his brother got separated. Kotarou tells him that he wants to see Mimi-chan again. Zelman: "What's the point in that now?" Kotarou: "Well, that's... I wanted her to convince brother." Zelman: "Convince? Why would you want Mimiko to do that?" Kotarou: "I'm not really sure, but I feel like it. Things won't work if it goes on like this. They won't!" Zelman's eyes brighten. "But maybe I'm wrong." Zelman tells him it's not like that. Zelman: "We're made of blood after all. A combination of blood. Blood that's passed from generation to generation is the true form of Black Blood. Listening to that voice is difficult. But, when you're losing your way, you should calm your heart and listen to your blood. That's the right thing to do. Your blood will not betray you. If you do not believe your blood, that bloodline will be broken. Listen, trust your blood" <Points at Kotarou's chest.> "That is the true way for us, the Black Bloods." Kotarou thanks him for the talk. Zelman blushes a little and smiles as he puts a cig up to his mouth. Outside Kotarou announces he's off to find Mimi-chan. Zelman says he'll come too, and that he'd like to see Mimiko once more. Kotarou is really excited. Kotarou turns and asks: "Hey, Zelman-san, you're strong, aren't you?" Zelman: "Yeah I'm strong." Kotarou: "I wonder who's stronger out of you and Casa. Zelman-san, can you win?" Zelman grins with his smoke in his mouth, then snaps his fingers and lits it. <Evil closeup on his left eye> "Piece of cake." Mimiko and Wong are in a boat as Kotarou catches sight of them, but doesn't see them clearly. Zelman tells him that it was Mimiko for sure and that they'll follow.
